Bob's Free Bikes receives support from RCofFV

Bob's Free Bikes is a Fountain Hills, Arizona, nonprofit 501(c)3 charitable organization  (BobsFreeBikes.org).   Their vision and mission is to provide a bicycle to needy and under privileged children in the community who would not otherwise be able to attain one.  The accept used, donated bicycles, make needed repairs and donate them to kids. Kids should experience the responsibility, excitement, and freedom that come with every bike.

BFB goal is to help as many kids in Phoenix area as possible. That is why they partner with established nonprofits  in the greater Phoenix area who are already assisting families. To the families and the kids we serve, a bicycle represents more than a mechanical object. Bicycles create magic and supply life with thrills, excitement, and adventure.

In 2018, Bob’s Free Bikes donated 485 bikes to children throughout the Phoenix area.  In 2019 they are on pace to donate significantly more.  On average, it costs approximately $20 to repair a donated bicycle to the point of making it safe and functional enough to donate to a child. All funding for the organization comes from private donations.

Bob Mandel is the founder of Bob's Free Bikes. Bob was an original founder of Make A Wish Foundation, now a global nonprofit.  The all- volunteer staff consists of experienced managers who have participated in volunteer organizations, business and project management, marketing, and the legal field. Most of our volunteers are also active in the CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) program, Habitat For Humanity, Rotary International and other civic organizations.
